Background: Ta dah~
Personality: In a world of fairy tale tropes, Ringo fits the role of Little Red Riding Hood perfectly. Her mom taught her from a very young age that being polite and kind to everyone was important, because people will go to farther lengths to help out cute girls. Ringo takes that advice to heart, and dedicates a lot of work to maintaining the image of a kind girl who is always willing to help out in a pinch. And really, she is that type of girl. She's bubbly, pleasant with everyone she meets, and she certainly seems like a fairy tale child.
Of course, she puts those talents to good use at the Otogi Bank, a school club that functions to help out students with favors, in exchange for paying back the favor at a later date. These favors range from helping someone confess to their loved one to "dealing with" a relentless stalker. Ringo was a natural fit for the Bank, and is one of the primary members that gathers information. She's not above innocently pressing someone on a sensitive matter, or feigning ignorance to get someone to drop their guard. One thing Ringo excels at is knowing how to handle tense situations without dropping her outer facade; when police inevitably get involved, Ringo is the girl with tears in her eyes twisting a tale of scary delinquents attacking her from the alley.
Let's address the other fairy tale trope, however. Ringo is a poison apple in many ways. Her motivations in life are incredibly selfish, and she focuses on what she can get out of a situation. She considers helping others so readily to be a pain, and only does so because it benefits her in the end. Her cute act is a very deliberate one to manipulate others, and the only people she truly cares for are the other members of the Bank. Ringo wouldn't hesitate to throw a stranger under the bus if it meant saving face, and the one time she does lose her cool, she resorts to shouting insults that are so crude, the Narrator bleeps them all out.
Furthering the apple imagery is her relationship with her family. Ringo is the daughter from an implied affair, and when she was younger she and her mother went to a big mansion. The adults discussed important matters, such as divorce, while the children were left to play with each other. Ringo played with a girl who she didn't realise until much later was her half sister; Himeno Shirayuki, who is Snow White. As the adults wrapped up their conversations, she cheerfully asked if they would get to play again sometime. Shortly after, Himeno and her mother were forced to leave the mansion so Ringo and her mother could move in, all but destroying their life.
Ringo holds a lot of guilt over the situation with Himeno, as in the present day Himeno and her mother struggle to support 7 more kids. Despite being a perfect student who would go far in a University, Himeno plans to put aside her own desires to go straight into the workforce. Ringo feels responsible for the hardship Himeno deals with, and can't bring herself to even speak with her.
At her core, Ringo is lonely. She hides everything behind a cute smile and she knows it, and because of this she has a hard time genuinely connecting with others. Ringo feels like if her true nature were more obvious, no one would like her, which only further causes her to isolate herself from her classmates. Most of them see her as nothing more than the cheerful, kind Ringo, and couldn't even fathom she was anything different. Surely, no one would like someone who was able to naively ruin her half-sister's life, someone as rotten inside as Ringo is. Even among the members of the Bank, Ringo feels like she has to hide her true nature.
Ryoko Ookami is the one exception; the wolf in wolf's clothing. Ringo initially sought out Ryoko's friendship because she recognised that they both were putting on fronts, and she, somewhat selfishly, wanted to see what kind of person Ryoko really was. It wasn't very long until Ringo showed up at Ryoko's dorm room with luggage and announced that they were living together, whether she wanted it or not. They quickly grew close, and Ringo's smiles and playful teasing are completely genuine when they're together. Boy, does she tease a lot; this girl has a bit of a dirty mind.
In terms of other skills, Ringo leans more towards the support side of the Bank. She's shown to be good at surveillance and information gathering, and knows her way around a computer as well. Ringo is far more comfortable giving orders and organising the Bank's efforts, often being the ear piece as the more combat ready members are on the front line. However, she isn't afraid to literally step on toes if need be, and is shown on more than one occasion with a knife hidden under her skirt, and she's quite skilled with a taser. In rescue missions Ringo is the first to connect with the rescuee, slipping past armed delinquents without much concern as the other members of the Bank take them down.
Wish: "I wish... to reconcile with Himeno Shirayuki, and mend the bond broken between us."
A wish born out of guilt and selfishness, but with good intentions. Faced with a favor request to help babysit Himeno's 7 younger siblings, Ringo is left with dreams of encountering a genie and every time, this is her only wish despite having three wishes. Even though at first glance it may seem like a very selfless wish, her wish is made to try and make herself feel better about the mistakes she's made. She wants to save face and avoid having to personally confront Himeno with an apology.
This wish will be granted in the most blatantly Monkey's Paw way imaginable: Ringo will have memories of the events of episode 9, which ends with her making amends with Himeno after a very dramatic day at the water park.
Passive ability: Emotional Manipulation: Ringo emits an aura around her that, when speaking with her, makes it difficult to be upset towards her. She won't need to reconcile with anyone if they aren't upset in the first place! Someone who is emotionally strong won't necessarily feel its effects, and on an OOC level I will have a permissions post. It's essentially a little nudge to finding Ringo even more agreeable than she naturally is.
This relates to her wish in her desire to reconcile with Himeno; in being able to slightly manipulate the emotions of others, she's able to win their favor and forgiveness or even avoid them being upset with her in the first place.
Active ability: Healing Touch: Through touch, Ringo is able to mend and heal minor cuts and bruises of a living being. Think the kind of scrapes you'd get as a kid on the playground; anything that would require more significant medical attention than a bandage and some ointment couldn't be healed without power upgrades.
This relates to her wish in wanting to mend the broken bond between her and Himeno, taking it in the literal sense of physically mending injuries.
Weapon: A cute magical girl wand! Actually, it's a disguised taser.
